Ad running on the American Spectator site.
Since this is an utterly bizarre new low in the political machinations of Karl Rove, I fear and loathe that it will somehow succeed, instead of being something that simply "goes too far this time". Look at all the assumptions it makes that you are willing to believe: gay marriage is bad. we're fighting a noble war. the AARP want bad things to happen and noble things to be banned. what. the. fuck? pretty much none of that is true. so people will believe it in military lockstep without a second thought. the streets will flow with the blood of the nonbelievers. Is your washroom breeding retirees?.
It's a masterful ad, though. Look at the head position of the soldier. He's gazing in disgust at the two fags kissing. His gun is symbolically cut off in the right hand of the frame, emasculated by the display of homo love. Behind him is a clear blue sky, uninterrupted and clean. Behind the gay abominations is a shadowy realm-- perhaps a decadent liberal church or more likely, an outdoor gazebo or something-- are those dried and desiccated vines curling around a whitewashed frame back there (above the head on the left)? Which means it's not happening indoors, but out in cthonic nature, with all her fecundity. But with the vine dying, it's a double symbol: nature is also horrified by the homosexual deviants and their kissing-- the flowers of course are already dying, since they're cut off, but even the vines are drying up, shocked to death by an affront to the natural order. Oh! And the soldier's face. Wow. They found a guy with a grimacing frown and a slightly hooked nose: it's a carbon copy of George W. Bush. We know what he'd Really like to do with that gun. If you oppose the AARP, you too can shoot those filthy queers right off the map. It's also interesting the symbolic placement of ad elements. One might expect the gays to be on the left of the ad, but I'm not sure that's necessary. It's like GW the Soldier Man gazes to the right, where utopia could lie. But between him and the fully realized dream of that Clear Skied country the future, stands a morass of unnatural homosexual lovers and their lies. And beneath them all, a firm foundation, the AARP. "Click here" is placed vertically. Click here, the ad begs, and you will be able to regain your upright stature. Your sawed off rifle/cock will rise up again, fully erect and strong, just click here to show your support.

i can pretty much guarantee that aarp's agenda isn't to marry gay people.
seriously.
but did you know about the gay agenda? the gay agenda is to make sure that all retired people have equal access to medical care _and_ a right to inexpensive medication!
