If you replace "Atari in the early 80s" with "late-90s dot-com company" his description holds up perfectly. I'm delighted to see that things never change and I can probably always be employeed at a crazy company where I'm never going to know if tomorrow I'll be fired or awarded a huge bonus.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I suppose an old miner would probably say the same thing about the late 1840s. Boom & bust, what a wonderful world.
