It's not the worst thing that's happened ever, by any stretch. But damn Alexandria MN is stupid. The school refused to let a kid into prom because he was wearing a kilt. Now, WCCO might be stupider because they led with that as their top story tonight. But still. The superintendent said the kilt would be classified as shorts, and shorts weren't allowed at the prom.

Okay, this is a prom. In the annals of history, it's about as important as ordering a pizza, seriously. It's fun for the kids, and I loved my proms, such as they were. But it's still just prom. It shouldn't matter even if he was wearing shorts. But the kilt's been a formal garment a hell of a lot longer than the tuxedo, for crying out loud.

Gonna go get on tv now by dropping my tax forms in the late night post office.... (owe $23 fed, $88 state. not bad.)
