1. Total number of books owned?
Approximately 1700. (I get to enter the phallic measuring contest with this: another 300-350 theology texts when I want them from my dad's library; and my pick of everything my brother owns when he dies... best estimate is about 8000 volumes.)
2. The last book I bought?
Mike Nelson's Death Rat by Mike Nelson
3. The last book I read?
Out of the Dead City by Samuel R. Delany (book one of "Fall of the Towers" which is alternately called a 'trilogy' but is really a single volume comprised of 3 novellas, so technically I'm still reading it)
4. 5 books that mean a lot to me?
1. The Gospel According to St. Mark, by ... Mark and later editors...
2. Dhalgren by Samuel R. Delany
3. Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons
4. The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester
5. The Mechanical Bride by H. Marshall McLuhan
5a. Theology is for Proclamation by Gerhard O. Forde
5. Tag 5 people and have them fill this out on their LJs.
The journals I've read this on have resisted this tagging portion. Not I. If you're reading this, consider yourself tagged
