well, on my computer, it was markedly faster. And I was only using a 400 mhz 1st generation ibook running os x.3, with 576 MB RAM. Page loads were noticeably faster at my regular sites - livejournal for one. I had less trouble with some streaming media. The only key command I miss is tab switching (and that's a pretty big one, I realize) I also noticed that secure sites felt like they loaded quite a bit faster - better encryption handling or just perception? Unsure.
