last month of the year
Dec. 27th, 2004 10:27 amFive highlights:
1. Eleanor Eleanor Eleanor- loves christmas, loves getting presents (said, "oooh!" when opening some. seriously. "oooh!")
2. Sweating and laughing while trying to read Japanese menus- Got Leann DDR for x-mas. She's loving it big time (and she's way better than I am, though we both can't handle anything harder than a 2-foot song right now). That gift sets the bar high for the coming year, methinks.
3. Leann got me Realm cologne, the only cologne product I've ever liked; and for the "big gift" she is going to be buying us a Wedge membership. Gifts that keep on giving.
4. Saw Chris last night and received from him a huge stack of CDs with the complete series of Farscape in DivX, as well as a Hal Hartley movie.
5. Watching the moon- it's cold silver whiteness on Christmas eve and Christmas night, my daughter pointing at it, saying "moon", watching it rise, orange and fulsome over northeast yesterday afternoon.
"Lowlight":
Hearing from a girl I have always had a "big brotherly" feeling toward that her father is dying of pancreatic cancer and that she will be taking custody of her little brother when he goes. Though she says they'll be moving to Minneapolis sometime next year, so that's going to be good- Mill City heals.
