living in two different worlds
Oct. 21st, 2004 04:49 pmamazing facts. the people who believe in Bush... they REALLY believe, like he's Jesus II or something. This PIPA report shows that a significant number of people believe Bush favors some things that he has actually publicly said he doesn't favor. They believe in the WMDs. They believe in the Iraq-9/11 connection. Their reasons? Bush told them so.
Looking at the numbers behind it, the Kerry supporter numbers are kind of scary too— 22% of Kerry supporters believe Iraq gave substantial support to Al-Qaeda, but wasn't involved in 9/11. 34% of Kerry supports think Bush would participate in the Kyoto agreement. 50% of Kerry supporters believe Bush thinks the US should participate in the nuclear test ban treaty.
it's scary. Sometimes I think we're done as a society.
But I still believe...
The tide is turning
