By now you've heard about the video ipod. I'm sure there's lots of commentary out there saying how this is okay or a little sucky or just apple hype. What interests me is the line in the press release that I think gets a little overlooked in the "who wants to watch videos on a 2" screen?" talk:
"Apple iPod AV cable for $19 (US), enabling television viewing of video content in full-screen; the iPod Camera Connector for $29 (US);"

In other words, you can put your OWN movies on the thing and plug it into your tv or whatever. A lot of people talked about the Mini as the next digital hub. Screw that, I say we're moving toward the iPod instead. Smaller, sweeter, more portable. The next generations will have bigger storage. Then bigger flash cards. Then more features and more interactivity. Just get me a more involving UI and eventually move wireless onboard... the future just keeps comin'!


Watching Law & Order as I write this. I need to get me a gun. These people keep ranting about how "the people" are going to fight against the corrupt government and "take back America" or whatever. Well, maybe some of "the people" are sick to fucking death of your culture of life line of bullshit and we're going to take back the country from your greedy little hands. Better believe the more I hear from these arrogant fuckers, the more I'm itching to get my gun! Hey Dad's coming up this weekend, maybe he can bring the 16 ga. Wingmaster. I don't want to shoot anybody, but if the government isn't going to protect our systems and people someone will have to when these rightist fuckers come for our children.

Edit: Oh yeah, and I think I'll put that line in my health directives so not only will they have to kill me at the first sign of my descent into a vegetative state, but spell "fuck Pat Robertson" on the steps of the capitol using my donated entrails.

It will all come down to size? Tiny and wafer-thin like the Nano? It just goes through the wash more often. Big beautiful screen like the Life Drive or PSP? To big to talk on. Phone size seems to be about right, but thats too small to watch video on.
