coolest baby name site ever

baby name wizard name voyager graphs the popularity of baby names thru the decades. At first I thought, huh, that looks neat and it's kind of interactive, whatever. then I tried the 'type in a name' feature. ho-lee buckets! that is Wicked.

No names starting with CALY were in the top 1,000 in any decade. Type Backspace.

I'm original. *beam*

Likewise!

I like the ones, like Emma, where they started out populat one hundred years ago, died out throughout the twentieth century, then surged back up for no particular good reason. (Emma was #29 in the 1900s, plummetted to #420 in the 70s, but for some reason it skyrocketed up to number TWO in 2003!)

Wow! Hardly anybody has named their children "Minireggie" or "Squishy"!

"Alex" and "Devon" are slightly more common....

That's about what I expected for the name "Jason". They're all about my age. Wow, this is utterly fascinating. I've always wanted data presented like this.
