SURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGE!

So here's something funny, if by funny I mean horribly depressing, and by that logic a big f'ing surprise: the same dumb shits we know got us into this shit through their imperialistic madness and ruined the work of our soldiers thanks to their mindblowing incompetence have, like a junky, concocted a madcap one more fix scenario that's sure to end up about the same as Renton's trip to the hospital at the bottom of that carpet pit in Trainspotting because, sadly (and by sadly I actually mean sadly) the plan is already fucked up. Yes, the same incompetents who can't run a country, couldn't run a "war on terra" and can't seem to stop themselves, have devised a war plan that has, wait for it... two command structures in the same operation. To put this in terms all of us (myself included) can better apprehend and get our minds around, that's like me ordering an entree from one waiter and a pizza from the hostess. Then when the two arrive together, I stick the guy at the next table for the bill.

My example actually sucks, because, you know, to make it properly realistic, I should shoot both the waiter and the hostess with a rocket launcher, kick lots of hot sand in my pizza and force feed it to a small group of nearby children until they gag on it (eat that pizza, you eat that fuckin' pizza little Wahlid! eat it it's democracy goddamn you!), and accuse the guy at the next table (who's paying the bill remember) of treason, while hanging around as long as possible, shooting the rest of the staff.

Even John McCain opposes this version of the stupid drunken clusterfuck they call "The Troop Surge"! Troop surge. Keerist, what half-lucid dillhole came up with this spin on the concept? It's all so porntastically grotesque and absurd. This is something they need to sell? Perhaps they should consult the adult toy industry wherein the mentality of "surge" is best located, you know linguistically speaking.

I have family members who served in forward positions in a few of the wars in the last century. I can only imagine what they must feel knowing guys just like them are getting sent out for the stupidest reasons by the stupidest imaginable civilian authorities.

Oh. I guess the thrice-damned phrase came from the very Baker-Hamilton ISG woodshedding some democrats were pinning hopes on. Why does this not surprise me? Oh yeah, because I'm a democrat too, and sucking is something I'm USED TO. Oceania has always been in favor of the surge in Eastasia.

In the midst of all this outrage, I urge you most fervently to read this wonderful column by Matt Taibbi. It's as good as it gets, seriously. It makes me feel a sense of higher purpose, and like I want to change things.

I have to keep re-reading it to keep from eating a bullet when I hear about this surge madness.
