Saturday: can't find the cell charger in the car, wall wart charger is at the office. phone dies. can't get a sitter until the last minute but it's my sister thank goodness for reasons noted below. loveliest dinner party for which we were like an hour late (my fault mostly). after the party Leland B. Saturn dies and wouldn't start again. we were in rural Wisconsin, which is an inconvenient location for car dying. got a ride back with beverlypenn thank goodness for them and for the fact my sister is the sitter. home by 1115. baby proceeds to have a little step backwards and middle of the night goes by in a hazy blur.
Sunday: killed my sourdough starter due to inattention. out of eggs so no french toast either (car's still in wisconsin, remember!). get a ride from father in law to Car. Car doesn't restart so have to call roadside assistance and tow to st. paul (22 miles, which is only 7 miles over the covered amount. cheap tow does not assuage my nerves) watch good night & good luck
