he said, ever fall in love with someone for no reason at all? and of course it's unrequited. and of course it's even more impossible because you already love at least one person utterly and aren't looking for another. and you harbor your love in a tiny little covered place inside your head, protect it from view and imagine it flickering only slightly in the wind. but when your unrequited lover finds another, you just want to keel over and die from jealousy? world, you need more lovers, loving madly, jealously imagining you on their arm, long hair radiant in the sun, beautiful because you know the other knows you're beautiful. bursting, bursting and freed from the jealousy. happens all the damn time.


**edit: I wrote that before I just saw the cutest couple walk by. he small and wiry, a little nerdy; she willowy with pigtails, both in thin white fabric, their clothes moving the breeze, she with the most beautiful nose and fingers, pointing a "scolding finger" at him, holding hands. do I just swoop from my office and carry them both off? the list just keeps growing.**
