Day 23

it's said the sea keeps her secrets. people are very proud of this idea.
you wouldn't really want to bury anyone in it
really The sea divulges things, longs to divulge them, cough them up upon the shore covered in her trinkets and smelling of brine or covered in barnacles that can only be burned off.

Better to bury them here on the plains where there is privacy. What of seeing the bodies from the air? but out here the earth rules the air, the air gets its power from the earth here. The earth is where the air gathers its strength. The storms don't simply pelt the earth, they rise from it here stand on the firm foundation of the silent secret ground long to be as solid as it is seek ever to join it melt into it and thrash madly in its embrace out here the wind dries the dead into light husks and the earth swallows, engulfs, entendrils, births the dead into their new life

leftover shepherd pie thingy
A word about the shepherd pie: soymilk holding together beluga lentils, morningtar fakemeat, broccoli, garlic, paprika under garlic mashed potatoes. Good but not great. In the long run, a crust would probably be better, more soymilk and maybe no fakemeat. Maybe add in veggies to make it more like a pot pie-- not mash the potatoes, etc. Soymilk has some wonderful properties though.
