ripped from OUR headlines

okay so that's the third MN area story that's showing up on Law & Order. first there was the chick selling fake flu vaccines at my alma mater. then the hunter who shot those people. now next week there's a commuter train hitting a car. sure on L&O they're going to amplify the story with it killing 12 people, and it looks like the train on Law & Order has people falling down from the jolt and probably injured. Hey [livejournal.com profile] lokey weren't you on that train? Didn't you say it didn't even feel like anything? jeez, Minnesota is a hotbed of headlines. I love law and order, but I'm starting to feel a little exploited!

Yeah, I was on the LRT that hit the old man's car, but I imagine there have been plenty of cars hit by commuter trains across the country. And standard commuter trains can do a whole lot more damage, and travel alot faster.

I'm guessing its more about the guy who tried to kill himself in California by parking his car on the tracks. That one made more nation news than the guy up here.

Look, to whomever keeps ripping the headlines off my newspaper, seriously, knock it off.

I had a friend on the train in Washington (state not city) when it hit a firetruck. He broke a leg, multiple ribs, punctured a lung and had a concussion. ( and the city won't pay even though he was on public transport, and hit a city vehicle.lame) But basically he had to crawl out of the wreckage. So a car amy not cause quite as much damage, but i think there could be plenty of falling down. And that's a pretty general plot line.
